Flying WILD : Birds Across the Curriculum 

Date – May 10th 

Time – 9:00am-12:00pm

Location – Nueces Delta Preserve 

The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program will be hosting Texas Parks & Wildlife at the Nueces Delta Preserve to provide a free, 3-hour workshop that explores the Flying WILD curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for educators to explore practical hands-on classroom and outdoor field investigation experiences connecting real-world experiences in bird biology, conservation, and natural history. Participants will also receive a free copy of Flying WILD: Birds Across the Curriculum, as well as CPE credits if applicable. Snacks will be provided. Please bring a lunch if you would like to make use of the preserve’s picnic areas after the workshop.

There are 25 available spots for this workshop that will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Project WILD

Date – June 25th 

Time – 9:00am-3:30pm

Location – Nueces Delta Preserve

The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program will be providing a free, 6-hour workshop that explores the Project WILD curriculum at the Nueces Delta Preserve. Project WILD is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program that focuses on wildlife and habitat. The goal of Project WILD is to develop awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment resulting in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment. Participants will also receive a free copy of  Project WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide, as well as CPE credits if applicable. Lunch will be provided during a 30 minuet break. 

 There are 25 available spots for this workshop that will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. The workshop will be held on June 25th, 9:00am-3:30pm at the Nueces Delta Preserve.  

Aquatic WILD

Date – July 2nd 

Time – 9:00am-3:30pm

Location – Nueces Delta Preserve

The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program will be providing a free, 6-hour workshop that explores the Aquatic WILD curriculum at the Nueces Delta Preserve. Water in all its forms is one of the most dramatic of today’s arenas in which informed, responsible, and constructive actions are needed. Aquatic WILD uses the simple, successful format of Project WILD activities and professional training workshops but with an emphasis on aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecology. Participants will also receive a free copy of  Aquatic WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide, as well as CPE credits if applicable. Lunch will be provided during a 30 minuet break.
